Hmmm low on Belgian

Don't have many of the Bruges trip beers left, have a Tempelier, Waterloo 8, Boerken and The Baby. Very hard to decide which to have next! Well, I can't finish the DeGarre baby sized bottle myself, well I could but it is probably not a wise thing to do.

  1. Oh dear, running low is bad news! I'm suffering from a similar problem as the crate I ordered from beersofeurope is running worryingly low. Particularly low on stouts and porters - never good!

Out of your remaining beers I've tried Tempelier and Waterloo dubbel. Both solid Belgian offerings. Corsendonk are probs one of the most respected abbey beer producers out there and although Tempelier isn't an abbey beer I remember it being a very good pale ale. Du Bocq, the creators of Waterloo 7 & 8 also do a nice line of beers under the Gauloise banner. I recommend giving them a try (I've reviewed one here: http://porter-pages.blogspot.com/2012/02/review-22-gauloise-christmas-brasserie.html). Many of their beers seem to be available from Tesco I notice, and Tesco's Finest abbey beer and wheat beer are produced by them.

  2. Aye, luckily it's just Belgians I am running out of. Beers of Europe is a fine shop but I think a substantial order is needed to justify the postage (the reason why it's expensive is fine but still a fair amount!)

Aye the Tempelier I had before, then on the recent trip I got a gift set, needed a Belgian glass, that came with two beers but just the one left. Corsendonk is a fine ale, both brune and blonde, and Christmas, looking forward to the Waterloo. Aye I like Tesco for beer, the finest range is great, super breweries but cheap! Their Double American IPA is BrewDog. Will look at that post!
